Billie arrived in August 2014 following an urgent call from our vet: could we help? Billie lived with two other woofers and human ma and pa. Three days previously her pa died and her ma is in special care. A family member stepped in to do the right thing. Both younger dogs rehomed to friends. They took Billie to their SPA, who turned them away, “The dog is a mess and too old”. Even if you water this story down, it is disappointing, especially as we know the SPA. So poor chap, grieving himself for the loss of his brother, took Billy to the vet, with no option left but to put her down. Hence the phone call. Sorry, yes, she was bumped up the list, but couldn’t let her be put down. RIP now little princess.
