Our 9th Vide at La Charrue, always the first Sunday in May. My goodness, they do not get any easier but the companionship and feel good vibes on the day take all the hard work pains away.
Thank YOU – for bringing your preloved items to us to be able to sell, thank you Pauline and Clive and team La Charrue for all the sorting and storing, not to mention getting it all out again to look good to sell on the day.
To the likes of Annie on DVN and the social media team for advertising the date and venue itself.
And then on the day – the hearty team that break through the morning ice and often travel many kilometres: Jacquie, Jill, Clare, Gwendoline, Jeanette, Paul, Brian & Linda, Vyvyian, Lesley, Ged, Margaret, Helen and Alan and please, anyone I forgot!
Our wonder hosts Pauline and Clive, we really couldn’t do it without you. And our Terry, for the loan of his van for the weekend.
And then you come and spend your pennies. You fill our ‘brown stuff’ penny jar, you bring bedding, some food and cleaning items.
The stall holders were not so many this year, but they were all a wonder crowd and we thank you for coming, their pitch fees donated from La Charrue to the Twilight puddings.
The sun was bright, and whilst we were a bit nippy, we all had a delicious day.
The end result – Many heartfelt volunteers going home to rest and sleep well. And in the pot, an amazing €1222 raised from all your preloved items for the old puds.
Thank you.
Leeanne, mummy Twilight.
