Dear Eddie’s plight was taken on by Asso En Route, and we were pleased to be able to help this gorgeous old man. He was an instant shadow for any human at Twilight, he just wanted to be close. He loved to be loved.
His back end was weak, his bladder and bowel control as old and wobbly as him, but he did his best. Medication helped and he was comfortable, but tiring. Wasn’t he a little miracle when his stomach twisted? He survived the emergency surgery and carried on somehow stronger than he was before.. But then a mouth tumour developed, and they grow so very quickly.
We have had to let dear Eddie go, with the tumour, his back end finally gave way, and he was just too tired and weak to raise his head again. With the vets’ help and the loving arms of Twilight, he passed peacefully.
What a love you were handsome Eddie. Thank you En Route for trusting us to give this precious old boy his last full days. Rest well now big man xx
