New Year reflections from Twilight HQ

And so it is that time of year when I should write a little muse, to reflect and to look forward. Twilight, Mike and mine’s home, full of old and disabled puddings. A fantastic team out there in their outreach homes with puddings. A most precious team of volunteers, here at home, on line or further a field that toil for the puddings needs and care for us. The most incredible followers who support with care of words, needs or funds. A mighty army of volunteers that in their own areas run charity shops, or use their skills to raise funds for so many animals, and many that care for Twilighters in their long list.

It is remarkable. Now in our 18th year of this rescue world, never a day passes that we are not amazed by how much people care. We have never used our energies to ponder about why we have to all do what we do …. that leads to despair that would waste our energy for sure. We are grateful that there are those who fight those battles. None of us can do it all.

Just now though we are a little slower. I am a little fragile. Mike’s health is failing. So for now the Twilight zone is just keeping on an even keel. I know you understand and I thank you for being there. I am sélective about new puds coming in as I need to keep the boat steady. But, the requests for help do not diminish, the cycle of life shows there will always be a need it seems.

So I am going to close for now just to say thank you. Yes, to you. However you help the rescue world, you have made a difference. The rescue world is a basket of every emotion. It needs us all, whatever part we play.

Bless you all for your strength in 2026, Leeanne xx
