Following a very sad situation of their owner’s suicide, we took in two bereft little puddings. We had no names for them, so at first we called them old and very shaggy, and younger and just shaggy! These darling treasures just melted my heart. To have sat by your owner as she took her own life, and then all wait until someone notices you are missing from your daily routine. It is all too sad.
Dear Old Shaggy couldn’t eat for several meals, but after a few days began showing signs of less trauma. Sadly, her younger companion was just too heartbroken, and after a few days just died. Our vet thought of a heart attack, due to stress. The older little shaggy pud we renamed Fluffy. Lots of love and cuddles soon saw her settle and it wasn’t too long before she found a wonderful loving home in Twilight Outreach.
