Open Day Report

Wow, our tenth birthday celebration yesterday was just magical. Thank you xxx The volunteers preparing, cooking, collecting, erecting, cleaning and general all round hard working in so many ways is exceptional. You all know who you are, and we are indebted to all your care and love. So many guests commented on your commitment, special care and the family feel, what friends you are xxx

Two very naughty treats for the day .… a yummy scrum tasty birthday cake thanks to the amazingly talented Deb of Caseras Cakes. And Phil, the wonderfully gifted Saxophone man, entertained us for three wonderful hours though lunch and mid-afternoon.

Food was available from arrival to leaving, catering for all tastes, all beautifully homemade, and all donated. Thank you, bakers extraordinaire. Enjoying the stalls, the raffle and Tombola, we thank so many of you for travelling here, and in several cases so far you had to find accommodation overnight. (Raffle winners have all now been contacted xxx well done to the winners xxx)

Donations were brought in abundance, thank you: bedding, bric a brac, cleaning materials, dog food, a mighty donation of Zoflora and, thank you Auntie Susan for the settee that really was a wonderous surprise, I really had no idea!

Yes, Twilight is a home of just Leeanne and Mike, with currently 27 dogs living en famille, 2 due in next week, and 14 funded or supported through our outreach programme, but it is a mighty extended family of the most precious volunteers and most caring followers and supporters. We couldn’t do it without anyone of you now. We thank you for caring, making the difference to life, and the lives of the old and disabled puddings who make it as Twilighters. Heartfelt thank you xxx
