Thanks to the wonderful Isabelle of Orfee, dear old Winnie had been rescued from the streets of Romania in 2021. Darling Winnie was chosen from the many hundreds by Isabelle, he was castrated, and he started the paper preparing for his home coming. The journey was no mean feat: five long days. We thank all involved, but especially our Terry and Bryan who took the last stage. Winnie was clearly anxious and wary. He took a good week to settle but then was one of the team. He was very wary, and we do not move quickly for him even now. As time has moved on he has a grim tumour in his liver, and arthritis that affects him, but he is still loving his home life and gentle cuddles.
